The Social Relief Approach

Social Relief International approach is based on three main ideas:

  • Children needs to be the center of any program that aims to relieve poverty;
  • Communities have within themselves the resources to overcome social challenges;
  • Research and Policy analysis have to be a complete part of any social program.

  • As described in the Social Relief Initiative, the world of Social Relief International revolves around children. This is why each of programs and campaigns is designed with the welfare of children in mind. This approach allows Social Relief International to construct a strategy that provides effective relief in the present while effecting long term social change. At Social Relief International, each program and campaign is a seed that planted in order to create deep roots for communities.

  • No community should have to seek outside of itself the element to overcome social challenges. However, it may need the solidarity of everyone committed to social change. Social Relief International primarily holds communities responsible for their own welfare. This is why its executive leadership is composed of young African men and women that are committed to put their knowledge, expertise and dedication in work for their nation. In this process they welcome anyone that shares the Social Relief International mission and seek to actively encourage all children of Africa to give back to their communities through volunteering, financial donation and positive role modeling for the younger generation.

  • Social Relief International seeks to implement a sustainable model of social change by streamlining the research on social issues, policy analysis, advocacy, and field actions. The Social Relief International approach is thus a multidisciplinary method that put together men and women who want to take actions to tackle poverty and strengthen communities for the future. This approach allows us to welcome experts of all backgrounds and enrich our programs through a permanent expert evaluation without neglecting the crucial role of proactive policies in the success of all social programs.
