Current Challenges

Health: The number one killer of children in Africa is environmental conditions that deter human health. Natural diseases, poor water and sanitation create a harmful living environment. We have the power to control these factors and drastically decrease the death toll. This requires commitment and coherent actions that focus on children.

HIV/ AIDS: More than a disease, HIV/AIDS is a crisis because our generation watched it start and grow. However, we do not have to be powerless because we can stop its progress. Social Relief International is committed to intervene in the area of prevention and support for children infected and/or affected by this pandemic.

Education: Education is the biggest challenges faced by African communities because it involves the future. To be sustainable, actions against poverty need to give absolute priority to education and training. Education is a right that needs to be given to every child. Social Relief International will gather resources to make this right accessible to all children.

Leadership: Relief and change are sustainable only if a generation of true leaders is ready to make them permanent. Social Relief International strives to promote effective leadership that will free communities of poor governance, corruption and ineffective policies. Social Relief International promotes leadership through advocacy and awareness campaign and also programs that expose the younger generation to high standards.
