Operating Philosophy
From programs and campaigns development to field
operations, Social Relief International’s
primary focus is to lift the social barriers that
prevent individuals and communities from reaching
their full potential. In this perspective, Social
Relief International considers each program beneficiary
and all donors as partners fighting the same battle
against poverty. As equal partners dedicated to
reach the same goal, everyone focuses on action
rather than compassion. The operating philosophy
of Social Relief International is that compassion
does not lead to a genuine commitment when dealing
with social issues. Instead strong vision and
values should be the backbone of every action
in order to obtain sustainable outcomes. This
is why Social Relief International does not use
human misery and despair as marketing tools nor
uses crisis and news headline to initiate actions.
Social Relief International adopts rather a steady
process that stresses human dignity and call for
permanent actions and durable results.
The mission, vision and core values of Social
Relief International are the frame of all of its
programs and campaigns. |

and caring environment. Children Health
Centers are especially designed to deliver
high quality of pediatric care to children

roles in preventative work in their community
and are involved in programs such as immunization,
nutrition training, safe pregnancy and
health education. They also provide basic
child mental health education. Some clinics
provide specialty services such as |
Intensive
Newborn Care, Pulmonary medicine, Cardiology

Nonprofit
capacity building
 |
Social
Relief International acknowledges all
organizations that are committed to address
social challenge and create well being
for people. Through its capacity building
program, Social Relief International strives
to provide training, coaching and technological
support for all initiatives that are directed
toward communities in need. Many Non Governmental
Organizations (NGOs) operating in Africa
lack the expert resources that will allow
them to access the latest technology and
get the most out
|
of the opportunities that are available to them
through international charity. The goal of Social
Relief International is to gather the latest trend
in nonprofit operations and philanthropy and make
it available to all social entrepreneurs through
its NGO Resources Centers. Resources centers are
places where NGOs can access technology and documentation
to support their operations. Social Relief International
is also developing a community of practice among
NGOs in order to build a common front against
poverty and allow experience sharing. It also
delivers free seminars and training sessions for
local NGOs.

Youth
delinquency
Youth caught in the juvenile system require special
attention due to their age and the possibility
of teaching them better social skills. Often in
Africa these youth are treated with no regard
to their basic rights. Abuses and violations combined
with the limited availability of support services
put these children in a cycle that constitute
a rooster for future gangsters. Social relief
International is committed to provide rehabilitative
treatment ranging from to low supportive to youth
that engage in law breaking activities or are
behaviorally challenged. Youth delinquency programs
are a multidisciplinary approach to behavioral
health that allows communities to get the most
out of each child.

Perinatal
HIV
Perinatal HIV infection is defined as the mother
to child transmission of the HIV/AIDS virus during
pregnancy, delivery or breastfeeding. Lack of
adequate support and resources makes millions
of children vulnerable to this type of transmission
in Africa. Social Relief International has pledge
to minimize this risk factor for unborn and young
children through a systematic support and care
for pregnant women with HIV. No child deserves
to be expose to that high of a risk. Perinatal
HIV programs are consistent with Social Relief
International’s commitment to create a safer
and healthier environment for all children.

US
programs
Every year thousands of African children arrive
in the US through the channel of immigration.
Their families in search of a safer and better
life are not always prepared to adjust effectively
to their new home. Resettlement problems quickly
add up to affect the child in terms of education
and cultural adjustment. Social Relief International
has designed varieties of program to ensure a
better transition in the American society for
all children and increase their chances of success.
Social Relief International helps families access
all available resources and provides psychosocial
support in the area of cultural adjustment.
